Steven Rigaux

After graduating in 2014, Steven spent a summer working outside of Denali National Park in Alaska and then spent the winter working at Copper Mountain in Colorado. Steven then joined the Peace Corps, where he served as an education volunteer on the islands of Pohnpei and Kosrae in the Federated States of Micronesia. Now, he works as an Assistant Account Executive at GMMB, a full-service communication firm that works closely with progressive political clients, nonprofits and change organizations. At GMMB, Steven works with clients including the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety, for whom he writes press releases, pitches international reporters, organizes quarterly press calls and tracks news coverage to help the Alliance institute a culture of change in Bangladesh by prioritizing worker safety in garment factories. For the Opportunity Finance Network, Steven helped launch an easy-to-use online platform called Venturize, where small business owners of color and women small business owners can go to access the straightforward information they need to compare safe financing options. Other clients that Steven works with include the Corporation for National and Community Service and the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
