Sarpong Kwame Steward, known professionally as Angel No Lie, is a Ghanaian quintessential singer (rapper), songwriter (story writer), actor, journalist, media personality, and film executive producer. He began his musical career at the church at a very young age where he learned how to express himself in the public domain and how to play percussion Instruments like a snare drum and bass drum when he joined a church group called “Brigade”. He attended Acherensua Senior High School in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The young artiste, who grew up in the environs of Duayaw Nkwanta, furthered his education at GH Media School. He is also the chief operating officer for Movie Era Ghana, an online platform that undertakes artist interviewing, artist promotion, blogging, award schemes, and event organizing.
Broadcast Career
After graduating from tertiary, Angel secure his internship at TV Africa as a runner in 2019, working his way up to news reporting, and editorial assistant, then into production as voice-over editor, voice trainer, video editor, sound technical, and associate.
He was responsible for reporting news and providing full coverage of local, political, and economic events for TV Africa in Accra after achieving a diploma in Journalism and Media studies. In 2020/2021, he became in charged and committed journalist who displays an ability to write balanced, informative, and interesting stories that give all involved parties an opportunity to have their say.
In 2021 Angel was invited by his brother (Bright Kumi) to work hand in hand with his brother’s legacy Bright News Room Ltd which became part of Angel’s creative achievements, where he had the ability to write interesting articles for a large target niche audience.
He also had the knowledge of writing about a range of topics including; crime, travel, sports, employment, health and fitness, education, relationships, the economy, and culture. Working with his brother’s hand in hand, Angel got promoted from writing features and news stories to a content manager for the news portal by his brother who acknowledged his commitment and hardworking capabilities.
