Megan Telles

ABC10 Sacramento welcomed Megan in October 2016 to anchor the new morning show “Morning Blend” airing weekdays from 5-7 a.m. The news and national entertainment correspondent arrived in California’s capital city after four years of television hosting in Las Vegas. It was the thrill of bringing an innovative morning show concept to life that lured Megan from the silver state to the golden state.

Traveling and acclimating to new cities comes second nature to the “Army Brat” given her father’s 21 years of service in the United States Army. She’s called Wiesbaden, Germany, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, Savannah, Georgia “home” and takes most pride in being able to still count to ten in German.

Megan’s deep-rooted passion to be the liaison between what’s happening in the world and the people in it kicked in after enduring multiple tornado seasons in the Deep South. She recalls being glued to the radio and reporting wind speeds to her family-of-four as they hid for safety in the hallway closet. While she didn’t stick with meteorology, Megan still loves facts, assuring her news listeners that they are in good hands.

Before being cast as the Las Vegas-based correspondent for the nationally syndicated entertainment show “Celebrity Page TV,” Megan was a local news reporter, anchor and daytime talk-show host at the Las Vegas ABC affiliate (KTNV-TV). She covered the gamut, from early morning live shots at the local structure fire to co-hosting the live Billboard Music Awards pre-show special. As a national correspondent, she mastered red carpet interviews but it was her one-on-one opportunities with Hollywood icons: Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Lionel Richie and more that secured her love for the power of conversation.

The southern California native and proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists is married to her high school sweetheart. They live and breathe college football. On any given fall Saturday you will find Megan and her hubby Cesar rooting on the Trojans — Fight On!
