
David McAlpine heads up broadcast media relations for General Motors. He leads all storytelling efforts on television, radio, and digital platforms for General Motors and its vehicle brands, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac, as well as serves as a spokesperson for the company. McAlpine is based in New York City.
Prior to GM, McAlpine spent four years as a network news field producer – first as a Washington, D.C.-based producer for Fox News, then for CBS News’ award-winning morning program, “CBS This Morning.” He started his career at KTLA-TV in Los Angeles as an entertainment producer for the KTLA Morning News. He has also produced newscasts and special coverage at KTLA, KIRO-TV in Seattle, and WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.
McAlpine, an Emmy winner, graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a bachelor’s in Neuroscience. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where he grew up playing hockey (and still loves the cold to this day!), and loves rooting for the Cubs, the Blackhawks, and the Bears.
