Brad Streicher is an award-winning investigative journalist for the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas. Previously, he worked as a reporter/MMJ in Charleston, South Carolina, where his investigative stories created changes in his community. Brad uncovered deficient bridges, tracked millions of dollars in government payouts and pointed out how the DMV sells personal driver’s license information. One investigation sparked policy change in a town after uncovering a halfway house for sex offenders next to a large family neighborhood. After another story, one county replaced bullet-proof vests worn by sheriff deputies, some of which he found had expired several years ago. Brad is passionate about using public records to hold public officials and agencies accountable.
