Ali Jawad Kermalli

As a proud former EP at Annenberg TV News, I have gone on to explore and experience some of the most exciting opportunities in TV News. I started at NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and went on to be a Producer at Channel One News.
From there, I went abroad to Al Jazeera English for two exciting years covering the Arab Spring – the immediate aftermath of the revolutions that rocked Egypt and Tunisia – and the beginnings of Syria’s long, and bloody, civil war.
I returned to New York to be one of a dozen editorial staff to start and establish Al Jazeera America. It was an entirely unique experience setting up a cable news channel that broke the mold on the industry. Following it’s closure I have been fortunate to return to NBC News, and be a part of MSNBC’s coverage of the 2016 presidential election.
