Jacqueline Sarkissian is currently the morning news reporter for FOX 7 in Austin, Texas. She joined the FOX 7 News team in December 2016. She was born and raised in Southern California, and has been living in Texas for more than 3 years. When there’s breaking news in the morning, Jacqueline is all over it on Good Day Austin. She’s always on the scene of the day’s top stories.
While she’s been in Austin, Jacqueline has reported on many national stories such as the deadly Austin bombings that terrorized the city for nearly 3 weeks in March 2018. She was live on scene for almost a week reporting the church shooting in Sutherland Springs that killed 26 people and she covered the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. Other important stories include the deadly stabbing at the University of Texas that happened in May 2017. She’s also followed the state’s controversial sanctuary cities law SB 4 and the bathroom bill during the 85th Texas Legislature.
Jacqueline graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She’s well aware she’s a Trojan living in Longhorn Country. Fight On! While at USC, she was very involved in Annenberg TV News, the university’s student-run live newscast, as one of the reporters and anchors. She also produced weekly music segments, “Jammin’ with Jacqueline,” which showcased up-and-coming artists in Los Angeles.

Before moving to Austin, Jacqueline was a reporter and anchor at the CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas. During her time there, she covered the deadly tornado in Van, Texas and the Dallas police shootings that killed 5 officers in July 2016. Before moving to Texas, she interned at KTLA and was a reporter for the cable station in Torrance, CA.
While at USC, Jacqueline co-captain of the USC Song Girls. The Song Girls are primarily a dance team that perform and appear at all sporting events in addition to rallies and university and alumni functions.
Her team made many media appearances including KTLA 5 Morning News and Good Morning America. Jacqueline was also featured on FOX Sports West “Runnin’ with PAC.”
