Eli Roberts anchors Oklahoma NewsChannel 4’s 4:00, 5:00 and 6:30 evening newscasts.
He joined KFOR from Israel’s 24/7 news channel i24News, where he worked as a breaking news anchor. Roberts also served as WEVV Evansville’s evening anchor, and worked as an anchor and economics correspondent for Israel’s Channel One network. At Channel One, Roberts covered the first Gaza War from the Israeli border town of Sderot, the main target of Hamas rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. He also reported at WFTX in Fort Myers, FL.
Roberts lived in Bangkok, Thailand for five years, where he founded several businesses. Two of his businesses were based in Thailand and another in Mandalay, Myanmar. He also worked in both the Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea areas.
Roberts is a dual citizen of the United States and Israel. He served as a combat soldier in the Israeli Military’s atomic, biological and chemical response unit, and speaks Hebrew.
Roberts is an avid road cyclist and runner. He also studies Japanese, and has traveled extensively.
Roberts graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with degrees in Political Science and International Relations. He specialized in East Asian Economies as part of his International Relations degree.
