Sebastian Vega

(OUTDATED) Sebastian Vega is a video journalist for The Wall Street Journal’s social video team, which he helped launch alongside producers and senior staff. He produces news and stock market videos made specifically for Twitter.

Sebastian previously worked at The New York Times as an Instagram editor, video editor, Snapchat Discover writer and social media intern.

Sebastian graduated from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a degree in broadcast and digital journalism. At USC, Sebastian served as executive editor for USC Annenberg Media, a newsroom of more than 200 student journalists. There, he worked with colleagues to produce a Snapchat news show and helped distribute hundreds of social videos.

Sebastian has also worked at CNBC, NBC Nightly News, NBC Los Angeles and NPR’s affiliate station in Austin, Texas, KUT.

Sebastian previously served on the board for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists as the organization’s student representative. He is a Gates Millennium Scholar and received the Director’s Award for Excellence upon graduation from USC Annenberg. Sebastian was born and raised in San Antonio Texas.
