Kelly Reinke

Annenberg Media prepared me well for this business. I studied Broadcast and Digital Journalism and Political Science at USC. I worked for Annenberg Media all four years in college. I was an assignment manager, camera operator, MMJ, anchor and executive producer. I got my first on-air reporting job at WATE-TV in Knoxville, TN. I absolutely loved it there. Gorgeous area and really young city because the University of Tennessee is in Knoxville. I was hired as a multimedia journalist so I shot, wrote and edited all of my stories. During my two years there, I covered several national news stories such as the deadly Gatlinburg wildfires and Chattanooga school bus crash.

I am now a reporter in Indianapolis for a duopoly station. I’m having a blast living in the Hoosier state so far! I was hired as a multimedia journalist but I do not have to shoot my stories as much because our staff is made up of more than 20 photographers.
