Derek is a reporter and fill-in anchor at Arizona’s largest television news operation, called Arizona’s Family. His reporting on CBS 5 (KPHO) and 3TV (KTVK) has prompted resignations and the introduction of new legislation, earning him a regional Emmy and multiple nominations. Derek joined Arizona’s Family in 2015. Before Phoenix, Derek was a weekend anchor and investigative reporter at XETV in San Diego. He began his broadcast career at WKOW in Madison, WI. He grew up in Los Angeles.
